dizzy's question:
Wealthy people hunt vacation destinations such as Zanzibar. What's the point, what appealing stuff in there?(give a different answer) .
Firstly, Zanzibar was once the spot of the biggest slave market of the eastern coast of Africa. A 19th century Anglican church rises now on the place of the former market, the altar erected where the whipping post stood. The homes here, with carved doors and inlaid brass, belonged to the Arab traders, who settled especially for the slaves business, sending them to Arabia and Persia. They were also dealing with gold, ivory, cloves. At least, the jets and deluxe boats of travellers help improve the economy.
